Hudson's First Adventure

Yesterday, I took Hudson out for the first time. He's only ever been to the doctor's office. My sister and my Mom knew I had been getting stir crazy so they took Hudson and I to lunch. We went to California Pizza Kitchen and sat in a back corner booth with a blanket over H's carseat. He slept the whole time, the good boy! We hung out at my sister's house for a while and then went to the Santan mall for a little shopping. I changed Hudson's diaper in a Banana Republic dressing room. ha ha My mom figured it would be cleaner than a bathroom. I was a little tired from walking around so much but it was great to be outside! I am even paler than normal from my lack of exposure to sunshine. Thanks Judith and Aubrey for a fun day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, it is about 9:45 pm on Valentine's Day and both of my boys are sleeping so I figured I'd get a quick post in. We had a great day today. Hudson slept 11pm-6am last night which thrills me to death, seeing as how I was used to sleeping for about 9 hours or more before he was born. I planned a picnic lunch for Jacob and I. I forget how long it takes me to get things done these days though so it turned into a picnic dinner. :) It was a bit cold out there for my taste so we only ate part of our dinner outside and finished the rest inside. Jacob was so sweet and got me a whole ice cream cake! I feel somewhat like a fatty because I will be eating the whole thing myself but not all in one day so it's okay. After dinner, we watched Enchanted. I love the little chipmunk guy! Then Jacob and Hudson fell asleep so I am left alone awake, again. Now I understand why my mom always stayed up later than everyone else. Only one more hour till bedtime, yes!The little chunk muffin! On Monday, he weighed 10# 10oz.

Where Does the Time Go?

Time really flies by these days. Hudson is already a month old and is growing so fast! I didn't realize how big he has gotten until we visited his new cousin Nash. Nash weighed 8# 14 oz. when he was born. I thought for sure that Hudson and he would be about the same size. You can see in the picture though, Hudson is huge! I am really curious how much he will weigh at his two month appointment. We also got a visit from my Grandma, Hudson's great grandma. It was great to see her and nice that she got to spend some time with Hudson. I am getting a little stir crazy being trapped inside so much but I don't want little H to get sick. RSV season is really bad right now. Hope things are good out there in the real world! I can't wait to be a part of it again.
