The Longest Drive Ever

For Memorial Day Weekend, Jacob and I went with my family to visit my Granny in Denver. On the way there, we divided the drive into two days, stopping in Albuquerque one day and then driving the rest of the way the next day. The weather was beautiful! It was always under 80 degrees and there was a cool breeze. It was definitely a nice change from the sweltering heat of Arizona. It was good to see my Granny and Dean. It brought back so many memories. I loved the fact that even though I hadn't been there in 6 years, her house still smelled the same. It was a great trip, except for the ride back. We drove it all in one day, 14 hours to Tucson and then Jacob and I still had to drive the two hours back to Phoenix. Let me tell you, I am not looking forward to getting back in the car any time soon. Here are some funny pictures from the drive and us trying to keep ourselves entertained.

Here is my Mom all squished in the back seat.

Here is Aubrey with my Dad's fish oil, bleh.

This Jacob sleeping. If we're in the car for longer than 15 minutes, this is how he ends up.

A classic Jakey face.

Last Day of School

The 22nd was the last day of school. In the fall, I will probably be working for a different district so it was the last time I would see the kids I have been working with. It has been a difficult and extremely dramatic couple of months but I enjoyed them. I was a little sad to be leaving but I'm on to bigger and better things. Here are some pictures of the kids.

This is Alex. He is mildly autistic. He really loves super croc (the relative of modern day crocodiles) and draws them really well!

This is the whole group of kids with me and the other teachers. I am standing on my tip-toes. lol

David vs. David

Since the beginning of the American Idol season, I had a feeling that it would come down to David Archuleta and David Cook. They are definitely the most talented and have consistently good performances. Now the finale has finally come and I have no idea who is going to win! I am rooting for David Archuleta, although I wouldn't be that disappointed if Cook won. I like them both! David Cook is more of a rocker and David Archuleta has pure talent, his voice is amazing! They will both be succesful no matter who is crowned the American Idol. Watch tonight on Fox at 7 o'clock and vote after the show. Good luck to both of them and may the best David win!

Welcome Home Lacey!

Lacey is back and we are so excited! Especially Ace. I think he was really lonely without her. She had parvo (yucky!) and was in the vet hospital for 4 days. She was pretty sick and really skinny but she is all better now! She has the cutest little bandage on to cover where her IV was. She definitely hates it and has been trying to rip it off since we got home. She is noisy and hyper as ever but it isn't annoying (yet) because we really missed her. Feel free to come visit us if you want. :)
