My 100th Post

Want to know what happens to your plumbing when you live in a 50+ year old house? For no apparent reason, it gets backed up and this is what happens to it.

This is what happened to us late Tuesday night. Jacob was trying to do the dishes and noticed that the water wasn't going down in the sink. We have no disposal so we are kind of used to this problem, however, we realized it was a big problem when we walked into the bathroom and saw that black water. We realized it was an even bigger problem when we walked back into the kitchen and saw water all over the floor. There is an old washer hook up (see above picture) in the kitchen behind where we put the microwave. It was never sealed off and water was leaking out of that too. It was coming out of the walls and getting all over the kitchen. The kitchen I just scrubbed clean. It smelled disgusting too. It is all taken care of now but just emphasized the fact that I really, really, really, want to move. Waah. Sad that this is what I have to post for my 100th!

that is a sad 100th post but...when you are living in your new house you will look back at this and giggle at how happy you are not to be there anymore :)
